Share For Care have organised a fundraising charity cricket tournament to raise funds for poor and needy patients.
This year, we had the privilege of inviting eight participating teams across Kent for limited over games.
The Mayoress of Maidstone was delighted to be the chief guest of the event, which she felt was very well organised. The event reached an attendance of up to 400-450 guests throughout the day. There were many stalls selling food, drinks, clothing and much more, each contributing to the cause of the charity.
The money raised will support poor patients who can not afford their treatment.
Mayoress of Maidstone Town
We were honoured to have the Cllr Fay Gooch, Mayoress of Maidstone, and Mr Peter Gooch who were the chief guests of the day.
She would like to thank all the volunteers for their hard work and efforts on the day. She was impressed by the organisation of the charity fundraising event.
Heart Of Kent Hospice
We provided a cheque of £400 from our collected funds on the day to support heart of kent hospice. We also provided them stalls in the event to support them in their fundraising, especially to help sell their raffle tickets for the Elmer Parade.
Deputy Council General Pakistan Embassy
We were privileged and honoured to have the Deputy High Commissioner of Pakistan in London, Mr Faisal Aziz Ahmed, to have attended the charity fundraising event.
Mr Ahmed praised the excellent effort by the organisers in raising funds to help poor patients in Pakistan.
Graham Layton Trust
We also supported the Graham Layton Charity Trust by providing a fundraising stall for their charity in this event.
The Graham Layton Trust (GLT) is the UK fundraising arm of Layton Rahmatulla Benevolent Trust (LRBT), the largest non-governmental organisation providing free eye care for the poor in Pakistan.
